The Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois is not exactly a port visit. However, the Navy Pier may be something every “newer” sailor remembers. The Navy Pier is located in Chicago, IL which is also the location of Navy boot camp.
The Navy Pier offers dining, shopping, rides, and tons of entertainment. If you are ever in Chicago, IL be sure to check out the Navy Pier.

Navy Pier is completely overrated. It is expensive and commercialized beyond usefulness. There are much better places to hang out in Chicago. However, it might be worth visiting once simply so you can say you were there.
