GearAdrift (gîr ?-dr?ft’)
- (1) Anything not properly stowed or tied down.
- (2) Referring to equipment, items, or anything else that can be acquired through judicious use of the saying “Gear Adrift, Must be a gift”.
- (3) A less-than-flattering assessment of a sailor “Petty Officer Jones is gear adrift!” (lol)
- (4) A sarcastic comment about a squared-away sailor who’s trying to serve his country and do what’s right for his family at the same time.
That’s right, I’m just a regular guy who happens to be in the Navy. The Navy doesn’t define who I am, I’m much more than that. I’m a father, a husband, a homeowner, a student, and most recently — an online businessman.
I started trying to make money online ever since I returned from a deployment in 2005. This is my journey as I try, in my spare time, to match my military income with my online income. It’s going to be tough because of the commitments and responsiblities I have that keep me away from the computer but if I can even match 75% of it, I’ll be satisfied that I can get out of the Navy and do this full time.
